Word Art

We have decided to put up an entire section dedicated to the art of words – meaning poetry that you have chosen to not record and post on the audio section. You are, of course, allowed to post original poetry (and only original poetry, please) here that are simply typed up in notepad, but we encourage you to be very creative about this: scan your handwritten version of this poem, write your words on anything interesting like a napkin, or stitch it on cloth. Experiment with different pen points, different ink colors and even different calligraphy styles within the same poem. Make “ransom poems”. Then scan them in (or photograph them)

If you feel that your handwriting is not at all legible, then by all means use computer typing programs that allow you to play around with colors, fonts, font sizes, and even highlights. Try to use enhance the artfulness of your poem by changing the visual style as much as you can within the verses. Create or draw backgrounds against which you can set the words of your masterpiece.

You are reminded that in this section, only original poetry is to be posted, as they are supposed to accurately reflect the raw emotion of the author. As such, if you are caught using another author's work you will be banned from the site.
